Itinerary:

Day 1: Hanoi – Perfume Pagoda

From Hanoi to the Perfume Pagoda by bike, distance approx. 70 –80 km

On your way through scenic landscapes visit the „pasta villages” of Huu Hoa and Cu Da.

In the afternoon, board your boat to see the beautiful Perfume Pagoda

Overnight stay in „Duc Khe“, your starting point for boat trips.

Day 2 : Perfume Pagoda – Ninh Binh

From Perfume Pagoda to Ninh Binh by bike, distance approx. 70 –80 km.

You are riding through the fascinating landscapes of Dry Ha Long Bay;

Overnight stay in The Long Hotel in Ninh Binh.

Day 3: Ninh Binh – Cam Thuy

From Ninh Binh to Cam Thuy by bike, distance approx. 80 –90 km.

Enjoy the beautiful scenery and see the former fortress of the Ho-Dynasty.

Spend your afternoon in Cam Thuy, enjoy a trip to the„fish fountain” near Cam Thuy.

Overnight stay in Thanh Nhan

Day 4: Cam Thuy – Canh Nang ( Nature Reserve Pu Luong) 

From Thuy to Canh Nang by bike, distance approx. 50 km.

See the„fish fountain” near Cam Thuy on your route (see Day 3)

Car ride to the stunning Nature Reserve Pu Luong, hike from Pho Doan to Ban Kho Muong
Overnight stay in a stilts’ home in Ban Hin.

Day 5: Hike the Nature Reserve Pu Luong

This day you enjoy the lovely scenery of the Nature Reserve Pu Luong during a three hours’ walk. From Ban Kho Muong to Ban Nua. ( Optional hikes to Ban Pon and Ban Cao Hoong are possible). Overnight stay in a stilts’ home in Ban Nua.

Day 6: Hike and bike fromBan Nua (via Canh Nang) to Mai Chau

Your day starts with a 2 hours’ hike from Ban Nua to Ban Hin, from there your car takes you to Canh Nang. In Canh Nang you pick up your bike to travel to Mai Chau (approx. distance 65 km). On your route you will come along the chop stick factory in Chieng Chau. You are welcome to visit the factory.  Overnight stay in a stilts’ home in Ban Lac near Mai Chau.

Day 7: Mai Chau – Hoa Binh

Ride the roads from Mai Chau to Hoa Binh (approx. distance 65 – 70 km). You will climb scenic mountain passes and enjoy visits in Hoa Binh. Overnight stay in Hoa Binh, e.g Hoa Binh 1 Hotel

Day 8: Hoa Binh - Hanoi

Your final day on the bike takes you from Hoa Binh back to Hanoi ( approx. distance 70 – 80 km) Overnight stay in Hanoi, e.g Boutique Hotel
