Hanoi is located in the Red River Delta, in the center of North Vietnam. It is encompassed by Thai Nguyen to the north, Vinh Phuc and Ha Tay provinces to the west and south, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh and Hung Yen provinces to the east and south-east.

Sa Pa District is located in Lao Cai Province, north-west Vietnam, and 380 km north-west of Hanoi, close to the border with China.

Viewed from above, Halong Bay resembles a geographic work of art. While exploring the bay, you feel lost in a legendary world of stone islands.

Hoa Binh (Peace in Vietnamese), 74 km southwest of Hanoi is the homeland of many Minority groups, including Muong and Thai. Unfortunately, they were removed 15 km away to clear the ground for Hoa Binh hydroelectric plan. Therefore, Hoa Binh does not have much of a hill tribe atmosphere. It is just a good stop for lunch or taking photo of Song Da Reservoir, the biggest in Vietnam with clear water.

Ninh Binh is located in the transitional position of natural sysstems: Red river delta, Northwest mountain area in Hoa Binh - Thanh Hoa buffer zone and sea territory.

Ba Be Lake is among the largest natural lakes in Vietnam with a total surface area of 500 hectares. Ba Be National park, Vietnam, basks in the flora and fauna and the exquisiteness of this lake making it one of Vietnam popular destinations.

Ban Gioc Waterfall on the Quy Xuan River is located in Cao Bang Province, nears the Sino-Vietnamese border. The waterfall falls thirty meters. It is separated into three falls by rocks and trees, and the thundering effect of the water hitting the cliffs can be heard kilometers away from Trung Khanh.

Every year, Quang Binh attracts many visitors coming to interesting landscapes such as Phong Nha, Tien Son caves, primitive forest in Phong Nha - Ke Bang reserve, Nhat Le, Da Nhay beaches, Bang Mineral Hot Spring, etc. Among of them, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park has been recognized as the World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003.

Hue

Hue is also an important center of Buddhism. In Hue and its surrounding still exist tens of pagodas constructed more 300 years ago, and a hundred of temples and pagodas built in the early century. Besides, Hue is a place where the royal music is originated, and a place with traditional famous dishes and sophisticated handicraft.

Danang is an ancient land, closely related with the Sa Huynh cultural traditions. Many imposing, palaces, towers, temples, citadels and ramparts, the vestiges from 1st to 13th are still to be seen in Cham Museum
