Itinerary:

 

Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi

Guided city-tour in Hanoi. Explore the unique fascination of Vietnam`s capital, see the impressive buildings with their French colonial architecture, admire oriental temples and peaceful lakes. See the One-Column-Pagoda, the Ho-Chi-Minh-Museum, visit Ho-Chi-Minh’s former home and the Literature Temple, dating back from the 11th century. In the afternoon, take a cyclo- ride (bicycle-rickshaw) through the lovely old quarters of Hanoi. Finally visit the Water-puppets on stage.

Overnight stay in Hanoi in 3-star Hotel, e.g. Boutique Hotel.

 

 

 

Day 2: Hanoi - Mai Chau

Full day excursion to the mountain area of Mai Chau to visit the villages of the local Thai minority. The scenic villages of Lac and Pom Coong are embedded in the fantastic mountains of North- West Vietnam. Feel the atmosphere and learn about the local way of life. Return to Hanoi in the evening.

Day 3: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay -Hanoi

Full day excursion to Ha Long Bay. Depart Hanoi early (08h00) and enjoy the peaceful scenery of rural Vietnam with its fertile rice-fields.

Arrive Ha Long around noon. Start of your cruise in world famous Ha Long Bay. Delicious lunch with fresh sea food served on board. Visit of the „Thien Cung“ Grotto, take the chance for a swim in the Bay. Dinner on board during sunset.

Return to Hanoi and transfer to your hotel.

Day 4: Hanoi - Hue (flight)

Departure to Hanoi Airport very early in the morning (transfer from the hotel at 05:00) to catch the morning flight to Hue, arrival around 07.30. Transfer from Hue Airport to your hotel for check-in. Guided sightseeing-tour in town. A boat-cruise on the Perfume River will take you to the most important religious site of Thien Mu Pagoda and the artful Emperor’s Grave of Minh Mang. In the afternoon, if time allows, visit the Emperor’s Graves Tu Duc and Khai Dinh and the Citadel of the Nguyen dynasty. In the evening, visit one of the typical private garden houses in Hue or stroll over the local Market Dong Ba. In the evening, enjoy dinner with a local family, if requested, chance to assist in cooking.

Day 5: Hue via Da Nang and the Ocean Cloud Pass to Hoi An

Full-day trip to Hoi An via the spectacular Ocean Cloud Pass (foto stops) and Da Nang.

Today‘s journey takes you first to Da Nang to visit the Museum of the Cham culture with its most important collection of Cham sculptures. Short stop to visit the beautiful beach Non Nuoc. Side trip to the Marble Mountains with the five holy hills, home of dozens of Buddhist sanctuaries. Arrive Hoi An in the late afternoon and transfer to your hotel.

Day 6: Hoi An

Sightseeing in Hoi An. The town used to be an important commercial harbour for South-East Asia during the 16th and 17th centuries. Life style and architecture in the old quarters seem to be untouched from time. Stroll the center of town to see the historic merchants’ homes, the famous Japanese bridge and the colourful local market.

Day 7: Hoi An via My Son to Quy Nhon

In the morning, a side trip takes you to My Son, the former capital and center of the ancient Champa Kingdom. My Son is only 40 km in the south west of Hoi An, right in the middle of a green valley. Visit dozens of red brick towers and the sanctuaries of the temples, dating back to ancient times (7th to 13th centuries). Continue on National Road Nr. 1 along most beautiful lonesome beaches, not yet touched by tourism, to Quy Nhon.

Day 8: Quy Nhon - Nha Trang

Full-day travel from Quy Nhon to Nha Trang.

Day 9: Nha Trang - Phan Thiet 

From Nha Trang to Phan Thiet, excursions to the surroundings of Phan Thiet, e.g. the idyllic beach of Hon Rom.

Overnight stay in Phan Thiet in 4-star Hotel, e.g. Sunny Beach Resort.

 

Day 10: Phan Thiet - Ho Chi Minh City 

Full day travel from Phan Thiet to Ho-Chi-Minh-City.

Overnight stay in Ho-Chi-Minh-City in 3-star Hotel, e.g. Liberty 3 Hotel.

 

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City Sightseeing

In the morning, guided sightseeing-tour to see the highlights of architecture, visit the former French cathedral “ Notre Dame”, the General Post Office Sai Gon, a production plant of the famous Vietnamese lacquer ware and Thien Hau Pagoda in the Chinese quarter of Cho Lon.
In the afternoon, don’t miss to see Binh-Tay-Market and take a stroll along the elegant Dong Khoi road with its fashionable shops.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City via floating market Cai Rang to Can Tho 

Full day tour to Can Tho. Stop in My Tho to take a boat ride to the typical tropical orchards in Mekong Delta. Try the local fresh fruit and Vietnamese tea and the local fresh fish specialty “Elephant Ear Fish”. After lunch, continue to Can Tho in the heart of Mekong Delta. Arrive in the late afternoon.

Day 13: Can Tho- Rach Gia:

Day trip to Rach Gia  and its surroundings. On request, visit a Vietnamese family and get insight into their daily life.  

Overnight stay in Rach Gia in your Mini Hotel.

 

Day 14: Rach Gia - Phu Quoc (express boat) to start beach holiday 

All overnight stays in Phu Quoc in 3-star Hotel, e.g. Thien Hai Son Phu Quoc Resort.

 

Day 15 - Day 18: Phu Quoc beach holiday

All overnight stays in Phu Quoc in 3-star Hotel, e.g. Thien Hai Son Phu Quoc Resort.

 

  

Day 19: Phu Quoc - Ho Chi Minh City (by air) - Siem Reap (by air)

Transfer and all flights, then transfer to your hotel inSiem Reap and start of sightseeing.

Day 20: Siem Reap

Continue guided tour in Siem Reap. Visit the most important sites of Angkor: Angkor Thom, Angkor Wat etc.

Day 21: Siem Reap Ho Chi Minh City

Continue guided tour in Siem Reap until transfer to the airport for the late flight to Ho-Chi-Minh-City.

Day 22: Ho Chi Minh City - transfer to the airport

Day at leisure till your transfer by ToDeCo for night- flight to Germany. End of journey.
